Amnas

Amnas, ‘The Outburst,’ is a performance and video artwork initiated by Ginevra Gatti that celebrates dancing and clubbing as therapeutic moments of extreme liberation and profound union. Together with  Anna Sedino, we worked on the set design and props for the performance. We chose salt as the primary material to build the central sculpture due to its symbolic and practical properties. In ritualistic practices, salt has been revered as a purifying and protective substance used for its cleansing and healing attributes, making it a fitting choice to embody the themes of transformation and catharsis in project. By using a salt based bio-polymer to constract the sculpture, we aimed to enhance the performance’s symbolic resonance and create a tangible connection to its ritualistic roots.
